  • A new course for the USSSA National Championship Race has been laid out so that spectators will have more chances to view the athletes as they compete.

Below are quotes from people who have had the opportunity to check the course out.

Robyn Cornwell, Summit Middle School Special Education Teacher, "This course was the best course you have ever created!  I've run this race all four years and it was the most beautiful out of all of them!"

Brett Tomlinson, Princiapl of Snowy Peaks High School, "This course was awesome!  I really liked how you could see the racers in front of you the whole race.  You could really size up where you stood in the race and make your move accordingly.  I am sooooo bummed I am going to the Domincan Republic that weekend...I want to race it again!"

Mitch Kasyon, National Snowshoe Junior Champ 2011, "I really hope this course is the National Course!"

Samantha Lewis, National Junior Champ 2010 and 2011, "I really liked running through the trees; that was really fun!"

Tim Hola, PowerBar Sponsor, "Looooved the course."

Andy Bradford, Holiday Inn Marketing Director, "This was my first ever snowshoe race and this was the most physically demanding athletic event I have ever done.  That being said; I cannot wait to race Natioanls on this same course again!"

Karl Barth, Summit High School PE Teacher/Head Women's Rugby and Ski and Lacrosse Coach, "I wanted to race the 5K under 45 minutes.  I ran it in 43 minutes...now I have to race the Citizens' Race even faster!  I am glad you have decided to run the course in reverse of LMT too...you will be able to scream down the west side so quickly no one will be able to stop you!"
